Do you have some skills and time to share?
Volunteering for us
We rely on our generous volunteers and could not function without them.
All volunteers and their efforts are greatly appreciated by both ourselves and the community. By volunteering for us you will be joining an enthusiastic team, get involved in your community and really make a difference.
Volunteering, as many of our team have discovered, can be a very rewarding experience.
Tasks include driving to transport customers the short distance to and from the Centre, or delivering hot meals for the 3 parishes of Benson, Ewelme and Berrick Salome and Roke. At the Centre, helping in the kitchen, the dining area, supporting and organising activities etc. We also use volunteers to help with our outreach Benson Millstream@Home providing essential shopping, prescription collection, phone chats, and the delivery of hot meals. Volunteers with particular skills such as IT, publicity and particularly fundraising are always welcomeIf you would like to find out more about volunteering for us before applying just call 01491 834 889 to talk with our manager at the Centre. If the phones are not manned, just leave a message and we will get back to you.

These are quotes from just a few of our happy customers.
ˮThe speed and efficiency with which Millstream, the Patient's Panel, the Volunteer Helpline, and the Churches got things together under your auspices was truly remarkable, and the elderly and otherwise vulnerable people in the area have benefited greatly from the wonderful efforts of your staff and volunteers, and of course, this generous activity continues while the need exists.
ˮA huge thank you for everything that you are doing for our community and so much for myself. I have appreciated the help in getting my prescription while I was very unwell and also the cheerful volunteer for getting my shopping.
ˮMany thanks for your thinking of giving time to people like myself who is unable to venture out at this difficult time.
