High praise from the High Sheriff
On March 25th, Benson Millstream Centre and Community Hub was presented with a Certificate of Commendation by Amanda Ponsonby, High Sheriff of Oxfordshire, for “Great and valuable services to the community”. We were kindly nominated by the Bensington Society. The award recognises “the appreciation of the residents and people of the county for activity and contribution in enhancing life in the community“.
Representatives of the four groups involved in the set-up of the original Help Hub in March 2020 (the Millstream Patients Panel, St Helen’s Church, Benson Helpline, and ourselves) joined with volunteers now working in the ongoing Community Hub for a short ceremony in the garden.
We were thrilled to receive this award.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our volunteers and supporters throughout the year for their work, enthusiasm and generosity.
Without our wonderful volunteers and supporters we could not have provided any of the services.
This reward is not just for the the headline names of the Hub, the Centre and all the wonderful organisations that have supported us, It is for you.
