How we started
The Millstream Centre has been established in Benson Oxfordshire for many years mainly supporting our older villagers in the surrounding area.
The Centre is a relaxed meeting place for senior residents of Benson and the surrounding villages.
We want to support our customers to live independently, outside the care system, for as long as possible, by giving them good nourishment, enjoyable pastimes, and friendship.
Each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, we provide a healthy two-course home-cooked meal. We organise differing activities such as a seated keep-fit class, a sing-along choir, hand bell ringing, crafts, a film afternoon, quizzes, talks, and board games – all in a relaxed atmosphere.
Our Operation
The Centre is staffed by a Centre Manager and a Cook.
They are supported by a team of able volunteers helping in the kitchen and dining room, by driving, or by running enjoyable activities for our customers.
